Meditation Morning | 6.21.26

“The present moment is filled with joy and happiness. If you are attentive, you will see it.” Thich Nhat Hanh

5:45-5:50.

My body. I sat on a dog bed in a traditional meditation position. I noticed my posture and how it could be more open. I noticed the ache in my body. Now, an hour into my day and after a dog walk, I do feel at ease. Calm. Was it the meditation or just an easy Sunday morning?

Meditation Morning | 6.20.26

I tend to begin things on impulse, so this morning I decided to start a daily meditation practice—and share it.

5:13 a.m. Woke up. Wanted to go back to sleep. Slept poorly. Instead, I sat on a pillow on my bed, cross-legged. Thumb and index finger lightly connected, palms facing up. Eyes closed.

I noticed tight hips. Tightness in my mid-back.

By 5:16, I was done.

I’ll be back tomorrow.
