Celebrating You: Working with the Full Moon
The full moon is a natural pause point. A moment to look at what’s grown, what’s working, and what isn’t. A moment to celebrate how far you’ve come and gently release what no longer belongs.
Because growth isn’t just about adding more.
It’s also about weeding.
Pulling what’s no longer aligned.
Clearing space so what does matter can thrive.
And often, we skip that part. We move straight to the next goal, the next improvement, the next version of ourselves—without acknowledging what we’ve already done.
Tonight (or whenever you read this), try something different.
1. Start with celebration
Before you reach for what needs fixing, pause and recognize what’s already shifted.
Ask yourself:
- What have I moved through recently?
- What felt hard that now feels easier?
- Where have I shown up for myself in a way I wouldn’t have before?
Write it down. Say it out loud. Let it count.
Growth that isn’t acknowledged is easy to forget.
2. Notice what feels heavy
Now, shift your attention gently.
What feels out of sync?
Not from a place of judgment—but awareness.
- What habits leave you drained?
- What thoughts keep repeating but no longer serve you?
- What obligations feel more like obligation than alignment?
Think of this like walking through a garden—noticing what’s thriving, and what’s crowding everything else out.
3. Begin the weeding
Weeding doesn’t have to be dramatic. It’s often small, honest choices.
Pick one or two things—not everything.
Then ask:
- What would it look like to loosen my grip on this?
- Is there a boundary I need to set?
- Is there something I can simply… stop doing?
Try one simple action:
- Unsubscribe from something that clutters your mind
- Say no to something that feels misaligned
- Replace one draining habit with a supportive one
You don’t need a full life overhaul. Just a little more space.
4. Create a release ritual (keep it simple)
Mark the moment so your mind and body register the shift.
You might:
- Write down what you’re releasing and tear it up
- Step outside and take a few slow breaths under the night sky
- Say, quietly or out loud: I’m ready to let this go
It doesn’t need to be elaborate to be meaningful.
5. Make room for what’s next
Once you clear space, something always wants to grow.
Ask yourself:
- What do I want more of right now?
- What would support the version of me I’m becoming?
Then choose one small way to support that.
The full moon isn’t asking you to be perfect.
It’s asking you to be present. To notice. To honor. To release.
To celebrate—not just where you’re going, but where you’ve already been.
You’re allowed to outgrow things.
You’re allowed to change.
You’re allowed to take up space in your own life—without everything that once weighed you down.
Let this be your reminder:
You’ve already come further than you think.
